Whisper in the Wind

While we last, I will be chaos
When you kneel to confess, I will be your sin.
Each night, I might keep a storm on its toes
Until I leave like a whisper in the wind.
In the sea we sail, we’re bound to sink
We’re meant to break in the tempest’s sway
The gamble's to bargain who'll swim to the shore
And who'll go under with the turning waves.
In the ship we sail, the hourglass runs
Tick, tock, who'll walk the plank?
Will you and I walk away with rose-coloured glasses? Will we wilt away with knives to the back?
But while we last, I will be summer
Like the sun in your eyes and silk on your skin
When comes fall, and you wish for winter
I will leave like a whisper in the wind.
